Dear Flaaars

I was a huge fan of Sore Throat, and went to see them at every available opportunity.
They did a regular Wednesday evening slot at a local pub called something like the
"Stapleton Hall Tavern". I also saw them at the "Music Machine".

The reason I am sending this is that for ages I've been hoping that a website would be set
up commemorating them. The last time I looked there were several suitable domains available.
I was considering purchasing one, setting up a framework website, and donating it to the members
of the band. The only thing is, since I don't know them I wouldn't know who to contact!

Surely some live footage and other memorabilia exists (I remember them being on the Old Grey Whistle Test. As well as

playing their own material they performed the theme tune solo, with Justin on Harmonica) which could be used on a

website.

Please, please, please - speak to your uncles and ask them if they can get something together (who knows - even a

reunion). Whenever anyone asks me what reformed band I would like to see (expecting me to say "The Police" or

something) I always reply Sore Throat, but of course no one knows who I am talking about.

I can't be the only one who would love to be reminded of what a fantastic live band they were.

By the way - I seem to recall seeing them after a gap at a venue called "Moonlight Club" and the style, and some of

the personnel had changed.

Regards

Jon
